The Finding phase

HOla!!!!!

Well life is so good. This week has just been a roller coaster!!! We're in what's called a "finding phase" which is where we don't have a whole lot of people to teach so we have to spend our time finding them! So our days are pretty much spent outside walking around and stopping every person we see who passes us on the sidewalks. It's my favorite haha we meet so many funny people.
Also here in Spain (or at least Catarroja where I am) people don't live in houses. They live in aparment buildings. So when we're walking around, if we see an apartment building open, we go right in and start knocking all the doors top to bottom! That's fun too, we make all kinds of crazy new friends. So that's been this week mostly.

We also have happy people who we're teaching! Hassan, turns out, is not a huge fan of having to tell his family that he wants to change religions. Makes sense. They're super practicing Muslims in Pakistan. So. He's still coming to church and everything, but he's not ready to commit himself. We're still teaching him, but it's more just to help him have a better understanding.

Also we have a family who we're teaching! And they LOVE us! It's actually so cute haha they're gonna make us empanadas this week AND invited us to Freddy (the dad's) birthday party! Who's pumped? ME! But anyways they're super great and had actually met with missionaries like 6 months ago. Freddy was to the point of getting baptized, but had an alcohol problem and couldn't:(. BUT we met with him and he told us he's all better and doesn't drink anymore! MIRACLE!!!!!! God sends us people who are prepared! True story! I love them. It's such a happy thing:))

Also, we play futbol every single Saturday with whoever wants to come and I am getting so much better at that sport! It's super fun, whenever else in my life will I have the chance to learn how to play futbol from pros from Pero, Guatemala, Bolivia, y Spain. Never. So that's a fun thing of missionary life I'm a big fan:))

Also all you people who know missionaries who are serving in your area, our favorite thing ever is to be taken care of by the members. The members here LOVE the missionaries and it's SO cute because they literally just adopt us as their children. It's the cutest thing ever. This week we've had a lot of lucky "pass by member" times where they've invited us in and fed us and given us people to pass by. I love this place. Lil family:)))

Also THIS WEEKEND IS GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!!!! The prophet and the 12 apostles speak to the whole world 2 times every year, and this weekend is one of those times! So everyone go watch it! I'm super pumped!!!

Okay well I love you all tons! Have the best week ever!!!!
Love,

Week 31 Catarroja

HELLOOOO crazy week!!!

First of all, can I just say, put two Hermanas with only 7 months in the mission and EXCEPT GREATNESS!!!!!! Boom! SUCH a good week!!! We've just been killing it over here. Catarroja is considered a "hard" area (I don't believe in hard areas) but we, in one week, have completely changed the "normal" of this area. YAY!!!!

So wanna hear a funny thing that we did yesterday? So we have our investigator, Jorge, ya? Ya. So this weekend he was being pretty weird and didn't come to play futbol with everyone and then wasn't answering our phone. So we went to his house to pick him up for church, assuming that he probably didn't wake up and was planning on going. His brother answered the door and told us that he was sleeping. So, claro que he needed some pushing, we went right in and woke him up! He didn't appreciate it haha. But it got him up and moving!
And then we met with him later that day and tried to figure out what his problem was. At first he told us that it was that he didn't have church clothes and felt weird going to church without formal clothes. So we fixed that problem and the elders donated a ton of things (he was so happy it was the cutest thing I've ever seen) and he told us that this weekend he went out with his friends and smoked with them. Bad. So we made a plan for him and HE'S GETTING BAPTIZED FOR SURE FOR SURE IN 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!

Also I don't know what's normal in other missions, but here, we plan to find 3 news a day and mostly just find 1 or 2. That's pretty normal. But Hermana Clark and I found 5 PEOPLE IN ONE DAY  who want to meet with us and learn about the gospel! It's a miracle! That has only happened to me one other time in my mission. So we are just seeing blessings out the wazoo over here.

Also, speaking of which, we started a book where every day we write down the miracles that we saw that day. It's been so good to look back and see God's hand in our work. I encourage every one of you to do it. You'll start noticing more and more that God is there every step of the way in your lives. :))

Life is so good. Missionary life is the greatest thing ever. Go on missions!

I love you all!
