Mom and Barlows

Through Niagra Falls

Ha so since we meet so many people from Central/South America, we hear a large amount of crazy "sneaking into the US" stories hahaha so good. We met one lady who immediately after hearing that I was from the US and Hermana Dow from Canada, started telling us her plan to fly to Canada and then try to get into New York through the Niagara Falls. We DIED laughing. Pretty sure that isn't going to go so well but ya know. She's determined. Updates to come, if we see her back here in 2 weeks, we'll know it didn't go well haha.

Also other weird realization moment this week. So here in Spain everyone gives 2 lil kisses on the cheek to greet one another and it's just the cutest lil thing. I honestly forgot that that definitely isn't a thing in America and on Sunday we had someone visiting from the States and she came to greet us and....shook our hand....the WEIRDEST thing ever.

As far as missionary work this week has been really good. We took Nancy and Mariana to the church and gave them a tour on Friday and they both said that there's a really special feeling inside. They're perfect and progressing so well. We're so excited for them!

Also I got to go to Vilafranca to be companions with Hermana Tenorio for a day! She's SO cute. She's from Peru and is just finishing her training. I LOVED being with her for that little bit of time and speaking Spanish 24/7. I love this language.

Also this week is Semana Santa so there's all kinds of parades and things where they dress up in weird robes and carry around big floats of the Saints and Christ and Mary. Very interesting. I'M SO EXCITED FOR GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 times a year there's a conference held where the prophet and the 12 apostles speak to the world. It's amazing. You should all watch it.

Well I love you all so much!
The mission is the best!

Today's Father's Day in Spain! Feliz dia del padre to the best dad in the ENTIRE world!!!!! Love him he's the most wonderful person!!!!!

This was a happy week. Let's see. Today we went to Tibidabo! There's a huge cathedral and ferris wheel and other little rides and things but what's fun is that it's all on top of a big mountain so you see it from anywhere in Barcelona! That was a happy time. We also bought DELICIOUS waffles at the cutest little shop right up there. I love Europe.

Also this week we had zone conference so we all got together and our mission president came and we all learned great things. My biggest take away is that I need to study more about Christ! Because when we put Him as the focus of our lives, we become more like Him and we're happier!!!!!

Also this week we met with a cute Bolivian mom and daughter and taught them the plan of salvation!!!! It's amazing how much it all just makes SO MUCH SENSE! We lived with God, we were sent here, we have a purpose here, and there's life after death! And what we do here determines the after stuff! They were so cute and open and the daughter LOVED everything and said she wants to get baptized! haha. Love that. Nancy is super open as well so we're very excited about them.

Also it keeps getting warm and then cold again and then rainy and who knwos what's even happening. Good times.

Also I love Barcelona I want to live here forever:)))

The mission is the best! The church is true!!!!

Love you all!

Skating Barcelona

Side note: I've been told my English is deteriorating so..we'll see how this goes haha

Well this week was just the best!!!! After being sick for a week (me and my companion were dying), we finally met with all the people that we were going to see the week before! So we actually ended up meeting with 9 people for the first time this week. Which is a lot. And a lot of teaching about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith which is my favorite topic!!!!!

Probably the best part of the whole this was what happened on Thursday. So our mission president put out this idea of having every district in the mission do a fast together and report back the miracles we see. So from Thursday to Friday we fasted as a district and we saw such a miracle!!!!
So. We went to pass by someone who we had been trying to be in contact with for forever and just had never been able to find her and then our texts stopped going through and everything. We just could not get in contact with her. So we go to her apartment and GUESS WHO WALKS UP RIGHT AS WE RING THE TIMBRE!!!!!!!! Her!!!!!! And her friend!!!!!! AND THEY INVITED US IN!!!!!!!! And we taught about the restoration and they both accepted our invitation to be baptized!!!! It was a miracle. God put is there at the exact time that they'd be arriving home and allowed His spirit to be present in the lesson so they'd have desires to act. I love it. Love love love it.

Also today was just the most fun ever. We rented roller blades and went roller blading along the coast of Barcelona! The weather was BEAUTIFUL and it was really just the most fun time ever. Also I bought a Barce jersey from streetside African friends. After bartering we got it down to 18 euros. Not bad not bad. ALSO we went to this place called arc de triomf which was fun and pretty and next to a beautiful park. I love Barcelona this is just the greatest place ever.

Also I've been reading a lot of talks lately from the 70s and the 80s of the apostles and prophets back then and it's actually been really interesting. I love seeing how family has always been the focus of God's church. It's SO TRUE that if we do Family Home Evening (ask your local Mormon more about what it is-basically it's a weekly family meeting where you learn together about the gospel) weekly and read the scriptures and pray as a family daily we will stay strong together and no one will be lost!!!!!! It's true! It makes sense! It works!!!!

So life is good. The mission is the best. I'm excited that it's almost spring haha. Yay happy times!!!!!!

Love you all!

MISSIONS!!

BIGGEST NEWS OF THE GREATEST HAPPIEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME THIS WEEK MY SISTER GOT HER MISSION CALL SHE'S GOING TO THE PHILIPPINES AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So that's exciting oh my goodness. I can't even believe it!!!!!!!

Let's see what else is going on over here in good 'ol Spain. It's cold and rainy but what's new. Yesterday a special thing happened! We were on the metro and we had about 6 books of mormon in our arms and a man started asking us about them! He was like "what's the difference between your church and all the other Christian churches?" And we explained prophets! And Joseph Smith a little bit!!!! And he wants to know more!!!! It was actually amazing. So that's happy. Love those moments.

Another happy moment! We were teaching Roberto and he told us that he feels the truth of Joseph Smith being a prophet and restoring the church of Jesus Christ!!! That's the best thing we could ever hear since we're here as missionaries not to convince people of what we teach, but to give the spirit a chance to testify of the truthfulness of what we teach. So that was such a blessing and I'm so grateful that the spirit's real!!!!!!

The mission is just the best ever. I'm loving it! I hope you all have the greatest week ever!!!!!!

1. these are all the Hermanas that were with me in the MTC and we 4 haven't been together since the MTC (a year ago) so we had a meeting called concilio yesterday and were all together! So we took a picture of course hahah
2. Our investigator complaining about having to read the Book of Mormon hahaha (not really, she just didn't like that we gave her a long chapter haha. She's great we love her so much. She really does like it don't worry she just likes to mess with us)
