Amigos!!!!!
Wowowow this week has just been FILLED with miracles. I just can't even
with how much Heavenly Father is blessing us right now. Literally I feel
like the most blessed lil missionary in the entire world.
Wow okay so to start off. The biggest one is probably Joh. I think I
emailed about him before. He's a 19 yr old boy who Hermana Dow and I
found towards the beginning of our time together. And then Hermana Dow
and Hermana Clark (in an intercambio) went to teach him and he had read 3
nephi 11 in the BoM and told them that he needs to get baptized!
And then he moved to Sabadell...
BUT!!!! On Wednesday Hermana Read was looking at all the points I have
in my map and she saw his name and asked about him. And I told her the
story and how he had moved and then remembered that he said he was going
to come back!!!!
SO WE CALLED HIM!!!!!
AND HE'S BACK!!!!!!
And he came to church on Sunday and the lesson in gospel principles was
about baptism and afterwords we talked to him and he was like "oh yeah I
was going to get baptized!" and I was like "well we're having a
baptismal service on June 16! Will you prepare to be baptized this day?"
and he siad 'SI!" AND HE'S GONNA DO IT!!!!! The YSA people already got
his phone number and are inviting him to all the millions of activities
that they have every week. Literally it's perfect. He's going to do it.
We're so pumped.
And if you all remember, last week I wrote about Alonso. He's still
doing so well. This week he came to a FHE in the mission home, ward
night (a church activity we had on Tuesday), we met with him on
Thursday, he came to church on Sunday, and a fhe with a family in our
ward last night. And he has been reading TONS in the Book of Mormon and
TOLD US THAT HE KNOWS IT'S TRUE!!!!!!! Such a miracle. He's changed so
much oh my goodness.
So wow I'm just so happy. Life is so good in the missionary life. I love
my companion, I love the work, I love the gospel, it couldn't be
better.
Also today we went roller skating again along the coast of Barcelona. My favorite times.
Spain is the best! I'm so happy to be a missionary! Also did you all
know, MY LIL SARAH BBY SISTER GOES ON HER MISSION ON WEDNESDAY!!!! So
that's exciting news. So pumped for her.
Also other fun news from the week. We went to Llau llau today after 3
previous times of it being closed every time we've tried to go. So that
was happy.
Man I have so many pictures I wish I could send but the wifi is not working. Which is so sad. But. Next week it'll be. :)
I love you all so much! Keep being amazing!

Hermana Johnson

For Family
Well I just love you all so much how fun that you're all together right now!!
I'm
so excited for cute lil Sarah bby. The mission is the happiest time in
the entire world. There's ups and downs (normal, it's still life) but
wow it's so fun. The other day we were exercising to Motab and it just
kinda hit me that this is a once in a lifetime, unique experience. Who
else exercises to motab. No one. But I LOVE it. I'm so so close to the
Holy Ghost and I LOVE teaching people and meeting people and I love how
much I've come to understand the gospel. The first time you teach L1 (or
maybe after the first few times) you're going to realize how much sense
the gospel makes. It's so perfect. I love it so much.
I hope all you people are reading the Book of Mormon every day! ;)
But
wow I miss you all! Wanna hear a miracle story! There've been a lot
this week but the biggest one is JOHN!!! I think I emailed about him
before. He's a boy with 19 years who Hermana Dow and I found towards the
beginning of our time together. And then Hermana Dow and Hermana Clark

his phone number and are inviting him to all the millions of activities
that they have every week. Literally it's perfect. He's going to do it.
We're so pumped.
Also
another miracle. Rita! She's waiting for her papers to come so she can
get married and then get baptized. But then Satan started working and
gave her a job right during church. So we talked to her about it and
decided to fast with her to get a better situation. We fasted on Tuesday
and then on Thursday she called us and said that she could come to
churhc on Sunday!!!! MRIACLES OF THE FAST IT'S REAL!!!!!!!
HOLAAAA
Wowowowow this week has just been the best week EVER.
My
new companion Hermana Read is the BEST. She's from Pleasant Grove,
Utah. Likes to dance. Super cute. And the best missionary ever ever
ever. I love her so much.
Wow
so we've just seen so many happy miracles over here in Hospitalet. The
biggest miracle of this week was Alonso. Hermana Read and I had decided
to pass by a reference that the Elders had given us and saw a man
sitting infront of a closed church. We both felt that we needed to talk
to him and my wonderful companion contacted him. Turns out he had just
moved here from El Salvador 2 weeks ago, was feeling VERY down, and was
looking for God. So he went to this church to pray and it was closed. So
he sat down outside and that's when we found him! Turns out he had met
with missionaries 18 years ago and still remembered the story of the
Book of Mormon! We talked to him, got to know him and his situation
better, read a little with him, he cried and shared how he wants to
change his life. He is preparing to be baptized on June 16!!!! My heart
just went out to him and I'm so grateful for the Book of Mormon and have
full confidence that the gospel is exactly what he needs to find peace
in his life. MIRACLES!!!!
I'm
loving the mission. Lately I've been studying a lot about prayer and
how interesting it is that we pray to God in Christ's name and how
special it is that really we get to God and His presence through Christ.
It's thanks to His sacrifice that we can become better and better and
be cleansed from our sins to be able to live with God. Such a blessing.
The gospel is the best.
I love the mission so much!!!! I'm so lucky to be a missionary:)) The church is true!
I love you all!

Transferrrrrrs
Holaa!
So every 6 weeks we have
"transfers" which is where changes happen in the mission and
missionaries get new companions and go move to other parts of the
mission. That happened today except I am staying here in Hospitalet!
That will mean I'll be here 6 months. AND I got a new companion! Her
name's Hermana Read and she's AMAZING so I'm pumped.
Also this week we got to Skype home! Happy mother's day to the cutest lil mama!!!
Wow
so this week has just been so good. We had zone conference, concilio, a
ward activity, and a lot of baptisms to go to, and then transfers. It's
been busy busy busy.
Also I don't have a lot of time to write but I'll send pics. :)
Love you all!!!

Hermana Johnson

La Carpeta
HOLAAA!!!!
Wow that's so fun. So many new friends.
So there's a thing
in missionary work called the "carpeta de area" (area book). It's
basically just the records of all the people who at one point listened
to the missionaries. It just shows what they've been taught already so
as we get transferred we can pick back up where the other missionaries
left off.
SO Hermana Bodden and I have been
working hard with that thing. We're passing by every single person in
there to see if they'd be interested to start listening to missionaries
again. It's been a great time and we've actaully found AMAZING people
doing it.
For example:
MARIO!!!!!!
I'm going to try to explain this story it might be kinda confusing but
here we go. We went to passby Maria and after ringing her apartment, out
walked Mario. He was super friendly and seemed very very happy to see
us. So we started talking to him to figure out how he knew us and turns
out he had met with Elders in 2005!!!!! But the crazy part is that he
remembers the exact year, he remembers the 3 lessons that they gave him,
and he remembers where the church was. Turns out he got very busy
during that time and couldn't meet with them, BUT he has tons of time
now!!!!!!! He's a mircale. Honestly that was just amazing. God totally
puts us where He wants us to be to meet the people that He wants us to
meet. I love it so much.
Let's see what else is going on over here in good ol Hospitalet. Well today we went to Parc Guell again!!! We woke up at 5am
to get there to see the sunrise. It was wayyyy too early but also so
much fun. I love Barcelona. I think Parc Guell is my favorite thing I've
seen. Happy day!!!!!
Let's see what else. Yesterday we had concilio!!!!! It's my favorite time.
Also
lately I've been really thinking about the power of our thoughts.
There's a scripture that says that "as he thinketh in his heart, so is
he" (Proverbs 23:7). That means that whatever we focus our thoughts on,
that's what we become. If we think that we're postive people, we act
like positive people. If we think we're confident, others will see us as
confident because that's how we'll act. If we focus on the Savior, we
start trying harder to be like Him. That's the part I love the most.
I've been thinking a lot about that lately. We should always always have
our thoughts directed toward Jesus Christ. I think that's one of the
best ways to start to really start acting in the way that He would act.
Well I love you all so much!!! Have a great week!
Love,
Hermana Johnson
1. BYU roomies!!!! So happy to see them at concilio:))
2. parc guell! I LOVE!!
Also Wow that's so fun. So many new friends.
Well
yesterday we had concilio!!! We had interesting discussions actaully.
We discussed what we can do better to help the natives in our mission
learn english (since PMG says they should). Our mission is 87% americans
and 13% native spanish speakers. So they get a lot of english thrown at
them haha. So we discussed giving them a spanish fast day (since we
have an english fast day) and things like that. Interesting.
Then
we talked about older missionaries facing discouragment when they never
get put in a leadership calling or things like that and how to help
change the way we talk about leadership. Very good.
It
was so fun. So fun to see everyone. Hermana Barlow, Hermana Clark, and I
took a 'BYU roommies" pic haha super excited for that. We're going to
have so much fun.
Let's
see what else. Lately we've been focusing on our area book. We are
cleaning it out and passing by every single person in there. We've
actaully found A TON of really great people that way. We have hope
they're alll going to progress!!!!!!!
Also we
talked to our ward mission leader about talking to the bishop and giving
us 5 families to teach and he didn't do it. So we asked him again this
last coordination meeting and we're pretty tempted to just ask the
bishop. Our ward mission leader doesn't do a whole lot haha.
Let's
see what else. This week is a crazy week. We'll have zone conference
tomorrow, an intercambio with the trio we live with from Thursday to
Friday, a missionary activity on Friday night, baptism on Saturday (of
the trio), and transfer calls on Saturday, and then MOTHERS DAY ON
SUNDAY!!!!!!!!! Happy happy happy.
So many fun things. Life is good. I honestly am still kinda feeling a little discouraged. Also I'm tired. I've realized now why people are grumpy in their old age. I feel like a grumpy old missionary lady. But
yesterday in concilio president talked about sometihng elder zwick said
about how the way you finish your mission sets a projectile of the way
you will live the rest of your life. So I thought about that and
realized I need to pick myself back up and stop being so sad about not
seeing baptisms and just focus instead on working and trusting in God
and His timing. So I have a new pumpedness.
So yeah life is good. I love you people!!!!!
