The rain continues

Well I thought the rain was over...but turns out it's a preparation day thing because here we are again! Except this time I'm sitting in Mcdonalds listening to teenage Spaniard girls talk about boys at the table next to me. Good good.

Well Carnaval happened  this week.Ya know the big parade thing they do in Rio? Well it's that holiday thing, but it's very much not Rio haha. It was actually super cute. All the kids dressed up in costumes to school and then there was a parade on Saturday night where everyone dressed up in costumes as a family. We were a fan. And we were told that apparently in Ecuador it's just an opportunity to go crazy and have water balloon fights. Apparently. Sounds pretty fun too haha.

Also this week I hit my year mark! I've made it folks! A whole year in Spain!!!!

OH the biggest miracle of this week...JOHN!!!!!! He's an 18 yr old from Bolivia and he read 3 Nephi 11 (a chapter in the BoM where Christ talks about baptism) and told us that he needs to get baptized!!!! So, bueno, we told him we could help him out with that! He's great. We're pumped:))

Also this week we had zone conference and interviews with President and my companion and I taught and it was just a great time. Love zone conferences. The hermanas in Zaragoza came to stay with us so we had a big party. Good times.

Also shoutout to EVAN CLARY who just showed up in Hospitalet on Sunday....So happy:)))

And TODAY!!!!! We went bowling hahaha. It was actually really fun. We found a place that gets you in for 2 euros. And then we went on a bus ride that takes you along the coast of Barcelona! SUPER pretty. And rainy. But I loved it.

So ya know. The life is so good. I'm a happy missionary:))

So much love!!!!

The Rain in Spain

HEYYY

Yep it's raining. Demasiado. But ya know good times. I'm currently sitting at a desk in a library just soaking wet. What's fun about serving a mission is that you don't get to go inside and cuddle up on the couch with hot chocolate and watch a movie when it's raining. NOPE. We just grab umbrellas and it's back to the street! I love it. You get much better stories when you don't just hang out inside. That's what the mission is teaching me hahaha

Ah this week has been so good. I've been meeting a lot of Dominicans lately. They're fun people with a lot of pride in their country. They also drink a drink that's made out of cookies and beans. I haven't tried it yet but ya know. That's a thing haha.

Lately my companion and I have been making a goal to focus on people who can come to church and don't work on Sundays. And it was actually amazing, the day that we set that goal, we met with 6 people for the first time and invited them all to church this Sunday and they ALL said they're coming! Which was just such a tender mercy we're so excited ahhh.

ALSO today we went to the Sagrada Familia and gOT IN FOR FREEEEE!!!!!!!! Apparently if you're part of a religious group they don't make you pay! So that was an amazing time and crossed my number one task on my mission bucket list!!!!! It's amazing. It's HUGE and I can't with how clever Gaudi is. I love it!!!!

I'm trying to think of other fun things that happened this week. Hm. Oh wanna know a fun, weird Spain thing? They have outdoor escalators and elevators! To help you get up hills easier!
OH also we found a Panaderia (someone needs to start one of those in Texas..or Utah..you'll become a millionaire!) that's all Latino!!!!!!!!!! My FAVORITE!!!!!! So that was exciting. Look up arrepas and paparellenas and empanadas. They're my favorite things ever. Also napolitanas-I'm addicted.

So yeah the mission life is amazing, couldn't get better really. I love my area. The people here are so humble and so open and already so believing in God and religion and things and they have so much love. THE MISSION IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!

Well I love you all so much!!!! Have the best week ever!!!!
