Weeks 28,27,26,25 Valencia

Week 28

 Hi fam y friends!

Well crazy things are happening over here in Spain! First off, don't worry, I'm safe! It was actually super crazy, I had to go to Barcelona on Thursday and Friday to figure out passport things (funny story, I lost my passport ha) and was actually on the train from Valencia to Barcelona when the attack happened. Thankfully I was far away that even while in Barcelona I didn't see any of the effects of the attack. And all the missionaries were protected so that is good news. :) Our president just told us to stay away from things that will bring a crowd of people to make sure we're super safe. So it's good. Prayers are being sent up for all the families and people affected.

Other than that, the mission life is really great. We are focusing this month on finding families to teach and oh my goodness families are just showing up out of nowhere! So that's incredible and we're super super excited about it.

Also happy things of learning! Last week in church we learned about the natural effects of behavior and how that ties in with the gospel. Our teacher made a chart of how we work. We start by feeling, then thinking, then desiring, and then it becomes our behavior. And then he tied that into, for example, reading the scriptures. We feel the spirit when we read, we think about what we read, and as a direct result of that, we naturally desire the good things in the world, and then we act accordingly and choose the right! What a good lesson! I love it. Reading the scriptures are SOOO important. Do it!!!

Well l don't have much more time, but I love you all tons and tons!
Have the greatest week ever!

1. Yay fun preparation day Valencia is beautiful!
2. I thought this was an interesting house that we saw. We knocked the door and the old Spaniard man who answered told us to leave him alone and go find the Latinos. So. Good times.

Week 27

Hola todos!!!!!

Well dang this week was absolutely insanely great. I don´t even know where to start haha.

First of all, we have an investigator named Angela who is going to get baptized on September 2 in the ocean!!!!!! We´re PUMPED!!! She´s really great. She has a lot to work on, smoking, drinking, but it´s all good because she came to us wanting to be baptized which means she´s open to accepting the gospel and feeling the spirit. So that´ll be really good.

Also this week we had zone conference! It´s one of my favorite times. I love love love zone conference. It´s where we get together with all of the missionaries in the Valencia area and our mission president comes to teach us for like 10 hours! (The zone leaders and sister training leaders and others teach as well, not just him, but it´s great). The saddest part was Hermana Sperry did her ¨what the Lord has taught me¨ thing since she goes home in 3 weeks. It´s amazing to me how much spiritual depth serving a mission can give a person.

So happy days life is good. Today we went to Valencia for preparation day and mostly just walked around. We went to a store that sells all the American foods that Spain doesn't have, we saw a park that´s the shape of a man, we saw an opera house, we walked in a pond, and we went to a mall. Good day!

I love you all SO much!!!!

Bits and pieces of 26 and 25
Tuesday we had intercambios! ME AND HERMANA SPERRY KILLED IT!!!!! We mainly just had tons of miracles but we found 5 news in one day. That's more than this area has had in an entire transfer. So we were SOOO happy. And it felt so dang good. Ah man I love her.

Also zone conference was the best thing ever. When missionaries are about to go home, they share their "what the Lord has taught me on the mission" thing and Hermana Sperry shared hers and gave me a shoutout, it was so cute. And President had me and Hermana Sperry go up in front of the whole zone and do a practica of teaching the BoM. Good ol times.

And then we worked every day this week! And our numbers for this week were 9 new investigators, 1 return visit (but we have more planned for this week), 2 people in church, and 1 PERSON WITH A BAPTISM DATE!!!!!!! I feel like a missionary again LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!! So we're pumped. We're about to have the first baptism this area has seen in over a year WOOP WOOP!!!!! And it's gonna be in the ocean!!!!!! She's already asked Elder Astorga to baptize her and everything. So like it's totally gonna happen. We're so excited!!!!!!
